Het licht valt gefilterd door het raam, raakt het diepgroene staal van de schoenreparatiemachine — de klassieke stikmachine en de authentieke naaimachines — en glijdt over de werkbank. Daar wordt het handwerk uitgeoefend. Geconcentreerd en op tempo, maar zonder haast.
Daar ligt het traditionele handgereedschap dat beter luistert dan spreekt. Alles heeft zijn vaste plek, niets is toevallig.
